Here are what's i did recently..

The pop up book of mine..

It is the book which i mentioned in the previous post..

It's a book that illustrated four different fairy tales that inspired me a lot..

For sure, there will be Alice in Wonderland~ and the other three are Red Riding Hood, Swan Lake and also Pinocchio~

Here is the cover~

Let's start the story~

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland~

I always wanted to do thing so complicated, end up making myself stress out and helpless.

Just like dropping into a dreadful rabbit's hole.

When facing problems, be strong and don't ever give up.

Inspired by Swan Lake

Sometimes it's really difficult to make a right choice, everything seem the same.

Think wisely, you will see the different.

Pick the one that is true to you.

This is the "mirror" effect inside..

i'm trying to make it like there's a lot of twins of the swan queen..

Be honest and brave.

Open up your heart, you will find the way.

This is the piece i love the most! it's the base of the 1st one which inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

I have this idea while i was doing my year 2 warm up project.

One of the groups used the real wood stick collect from road side to build their lamp.

They cut it into small pieces, and that inspired me!

This is the first one i did today afternoon immediately after i get the inspiration.

The oldest one among the family~

Sound like nanny~ But he is male, so his name is Danny~

This one is the white rabbit, inspired by the white rabbit of "Alice in Wonderland".

And this is "Shawn"

Inspired by one of the lecturer~

I like the style of the lecturer a lot~

Lastly, this is the Joker.. he is the main character of my blog's background~

Booty from Melaka trip

Went to Melaka for 3 days 2 nights trip with buddies last Thursday.

It was a nice trip. I enjoyed a lot and had fun.

We discovered a lot of vintage stuffs there.

A lot of them are at Jonker Street. By the way, there are a lot of old shop houses at Jonker Street.

During Friday and Saturday night, there are a lot of stalls at Jonker Street, it is like a pasar malam. But then, the environment is more comfortable. It is clean and not as hot as the pasar malam we usually visit.

TATA~here are my booty from Melaka.

I love these vintage illustrations the most. They are the advertisements that promotes cigarette, wine, insurance , etc.

I wonder are they the original one or replica one.

And this is the vintage style of coca-cola packaging.

It's not the tin type, it's the glass bottle type~

We used to drink from the bottle last time when we are young. Now it's hard to get one.

But there are a lot in Melaka. There're also other drinks, but i love cola one.

And this is mahjong CARD~! it's card!

Lastly, did you guys find that my blog layout have been changed?

While i was having supper with family, there was a cat with small little eyes **dad said its eyes are smaller than it should be because cats usually got big eyes**

Dad named the cat as "Jackie cat" because it has small eyes and big nose..LOL

It inspired me, and i try to draw it out using my own style..

Here, i drew a few "heads" of the "Jackie cat"..Some of it look funny..**wanted to draw a cat, end up it look like mouse**

Tata~ This is my final outcome~teehheeeeee~

and through this outcome and the movie "Alice in Wonderland", i get an inspiration of drawing a series of illustration with the theme "Let's Party"

First of all, the characters need to be wearing a bow

Second, the characters should hold something "look like she/he is going to party"

Third, the characters need to wear special outfit **Not to say the outfit is weird**

I wanted to sew a bow long time ago, but then didn't found any outfit that can satisfy me.

RECENTLY, I FOUND THE ONLY ONE WHICH REALLY MAKE ME FEEL THAT THE BOW CAN MIX WELL WITH IT~

It is painted with water colour..

i have put some small black dots on each parts as the marks where the holes should be punch,

so that all the parts are on place~

Well, i think my paper puppets are no relation to his dolls (since his dolls are made from cottons and fabrics) but still it inspired me..

Hmm.. what i'm going to do with both of this puppets?

in the olden day, the wolf was a bad wolf, it ate red riding hood grandma..

but in my story, the wolf is a good friend to the red riding hood.

It's a white wolf..the wolf is so protective.It always follow red riding hood to everywhere.

Currently busy with my college's project, which the title was "Human and Space"..

There's no defined final outcome for this project, which mean we can do anything we like as long as it's about the space that we choosed and it show how human interact in that space..

I choosed Pulau Ketam as my space, and i going to do a guide book using my own illustration..

Bought Jimmy's book "Blinking Seconds" from book fair last sunday..
Today only start reading it..
In the last few pages, Jimmy said " if not because of the stress of the publication and the time, actually it's hard to drawing continuingly and vigorously."
I think this is true, it's the same case with me.
For me, i like to draw, but i like to draw slowly instead of hurry.
If doesn't have the due date, i think i will work for a long time to finish my work. same case with my project, i don't like to rush actually, but what to do?

But all of this is because of laziness? who knows..ha

see my work is damn slow! actually done re-edit it long time ago.the problem is the mood is not there to post yet..ha

Wow~yesterday night went to "Mybook" store with mummy and her friends **well, actually they went thr to buy a gift for someone's birthday**

once i reach there, i saw one of the Jimmy's book - "starry night" *i already belongs one**

It's 50% discount! continuosly i saw other books of his are all 50%.

all the price stated there are around rm10 to rm17!

i thought that all of that is already discount, since Jimmy's book cost around rm30 or above.

the price for around rm10 to rm17 is consider very cheap!

i'm so excited and took almost all of that..just leave two of them i didn't take, because i didn't have that much cash, and visa card can't be use..so i need to ask mum for credit card, surely she will scold if i buy that much.

but, when we pay, the books' price which stated there discount 50% again! which means a books cost not more than rm9!

Omg!!! super cheap! 9 books cost not more than rm60!wow~

i love Jimmy's illustration a lot!!

Miss Yong paint and draw using photo illustration and photoshop..

Well, it's mainly illustration, since it's easier for me..

I'm still in foundation, every piece of my project is basically all "handmade",since my college encourages foundation's student to do it ourself, but not using computer, so what had lecturer teached us abt photoshop and illustration are all basic, vry basic..

All of the other function are "discover" by my own..so there're some limits~haha.

i'm working very hard to learn photoshop now.by myself.GAMBATEH!

Didn't feel to go for OT today, doesn't have the mood, just feeling a bit down after knowing some fact.

Well, staying at home helps to cool down and give me some free time to work on my stuffs that i planned to do it since last month.

working on my handmade stuffs really helps a lot, it's actually cheer me up, i don't know how is this work out. But i'm glad it make me happy.

bought a lot of vintage buttons while shopping for some diy materials with colleague

felt so excited when i found those buttons..

i'm really mad at it..take ...take... take and take non-stop! like all of the buttons are free..

tata~all the buttons in this bottle i bought it that day..

well, used a lot of money.-__________- i know it only when i pay..

honesty, i really didn't look at the price while i take a lot..

Though, i satisfied with it..

那天收拾东西时才发现原来我有那么多的压克力颜料，只是每次用了放的位子不同所以没发觉。

struggled for a long time before i can start to do the flower >< the tiny little parts of flowers are the parts i do't like to do..i'm someones who don't have the patient to repeat the same thing for many times..as you know incident may occur, and i haven't good in doing miniature, still in the beginning stage, so i have to try some times to do a nice one that i satisfy.Before i start doing it, i had searched for the tutorial for different flowers and plants. But i just get some only..just 2 to 3 types. So other i have to think myself on how to do it..yeap~so i just did some plants and flowers that easy to do..i know i'm lazy~haha..but still other things waiting me to do, so i have to work fast..

Time to start work for the next DMAOM exhibition on july~

The theme for the coming exhibition is "warm family" 温馨庭院..

already think for a few weeks, now only have the mood to start it~arh~

XD just did some work for the floor.

@@do a lot of stair this time..

since i was young, i have a dream house that consist of alot of stair..u knw y?

bcs my house doesn'thas stair-_______-haha..that's y i love stair~

At the entrance, used cardboard to replace wood for the wood floor~

-______-i always want to do this kind of floor~bcs it's fast and easy~I know i'm lazy~hahaha~

hmm..i think i will make this part as the place whr the family will place their shoes, keys and umbrella~The place where the family will be prepare to go out..

This is the whole pln for my floor..

see the greeny part? The family will have a small garden whr they will relax themselve..

and the tile floor, the white boxes part will place the dining room~

relax myself by blogging after work for this for the whole day~

birdcage series

I'm busying with my project for few weeks ago..

and finally i had done it!!!YEAH~

I'm require to design a set of stuff which all of that need to be suitable for my group members restaurant ( they do the interior design and i'm doing graphic design)

I have to work out a menu, packaging design for souvenir, a notebook which is the souvenir and a series of voucher.

And we need to design base on our theme, which is gothic+elegant~

i come out with overall birdcage concept, which the birdcage can represent gothic as well as elegant.

Here comes our logo~

Victorians~

1st item, the menu..

concept : a bird in the cage..

It's design to put one on each of th table..The menu will be hang inside the birdcage, customer will takeout themselve..

At 1st, i was so worry i cant make a nice birdcage..but at last i did it!

Actually i feel to do my own birdcage last time, but i don't know how to use wire to make it, since it will look so messy..

Because of the need of my project, i'm being force to make one out..

I'm those kind of people who can success if being force to do it.. XD

The way of open it. i cant do the door like the original one..because the menu will stuck, if not i nid to do a giant birdcage and a tiny menu-__________-

dada~the menu~It's a pigeon's shape!!!-______-not duck or chicken!!

someone call it a duck and a chicken..sad~

I paint it myself!!

Second item - packaging and souvenir..

I print it my self by using silk screen~

Technique of open - slide out

and the note book is inside

and the last item - voucher..

i design it like a keychain..

If din mistaken, many people is like me who always lost the voucher or else turn the voucher into crumbled form-________-

So if it's a keychain, it will not lost easily..since it's a keychain so it must be somethg hard..

lavennz 说到几米的starry starry night那本书，我忽然想到中一时我在参加绘画班的生活营时画过vincent van gogh的starry night..

当时才刚去studio学水彩画呢~有点乱的说~哈哈~

lavennz say about the book of jimmy - starry starry night, rmb me that i paint the starry night by vincent van gogh before. I was in form 1 that time..

I'm just start to learn water colour that time, so it's abit messy~haha..

这个呢，是在中三那年，studio有一个慈善活动，买出的话会拿去捐献~

老师选了我的这一幅啦~

很幸运的，第一天我的就在50个人当中卖出了~虽然没钱拿，但是很开心有人喜欢~^^

没想到还能买rm850..更兴奋~

and this is a painting that my teacher choosed to take it to participate in a charity programme.I'm form 3 that time..

Fortunately, my painting was one of the 50 paintings that being sold on the 1st day..feel so happy although i din get any money, bcs someone likes my painting.

can't imagine that this can sold for rm850..

最近功课都好忙好忙！这个赶完deadline,接着下一个又来。

大概全部design的都这样吧？但是我会坚持！因为我要成为未来出色的designer！

忙着忙着都没时间做手作，应该好一阵子都没得做吧？好痛苦~！

但是一有时间时就会拿起笔和纸狂画！哪怕只有五分钟。

很努力的在练习着，朝着几米前进！我真的很喜欢几米的画!也很喜欢插图！

现在有了个新project,就是画自己的插图啦！开心~又再朝插图前进一步了！

Nowaday I'm very busy of projects! after rushed for this deadline, another project started.

Because of busy for the projects, i have no time to do my handmade, i think for some time? arh~suffering of cant do my handmade!

i was very struggling to practice drawing, look toward jimi!i really really like jimi's illutration! and i like illustration!!
